Uswa Mehmood is a key member of the Startup and Venture Capital unit at Kilam Law in Lahore. Her expertise includes conducting comprehensive legal research, drafting legal documents, ensuring corporate and commercial compliance, and managing regulatory filings and jurisdictional research in Pakistan and the UAE for clients within the startup ecosystem.

Uswa Mehmood graduated from the Lahore University of Management Sciences, with a BA-LLB (Honors) degree. Her academic journey included a strong emphasis on subjects such as Intellectual Property Law, Startup Law, Commercial Law, and Contract Law, equipping her with the tools necessary to navigate complex legal landscapes.

In addition to her corporate law practice, Uswa brings a strong academic foundation in socio-legal research. As part of her senior year project, Uswa conducted in-depth research on the direct role of feminist advocacy in the economic empowerment of women in Pakistan. Her work analyzed the impact of legal reforms and changing societal attitudes on expanding professional opportunities for women, demonstrating her ability to approach socio-legal issues with critical insight and analytical rigor. With a solid academic foundation and a passion for understanding complex socio-legal issues, Uswa is eager to contribute her expertise to the dynamic field of startup advisory and
