Zoha Shahzad is a key member of Kilam Law's Startup and Venture Capital Unit, specializing in corporate law and startup-related matters. She is currently advising clients on corporate, commercial and compliance matters. Her legal services include but not limited to high level corporate re-structuring, market specific legal and regulatory analyses, processes and research in the Pakistani and UAE jurisdiction and regulatory filings.
She brings a wealth of experience in Projects, Energy and Infrastructure Practice. Zoha has been actively involved in high-stakes transactions, advising multinational corporations, government entities, and international clients on corporate and transactional matters and regulatory compliance. She has previously worked on drafting and negotiating complex power sector contracts and operational agreements and conducting high-level due diligence for her clients while ensuring alignment with local and international regulatory frameworks and best practices to support the financial and legal viability of projects.
Zoha has a keen academic interest in the intersection of law, policy, innovation, and gender. Her research work includes critical analyses of corporate governance practices, environmental justice frameworks, gender theory, and legal systems impacting minority and indigenous rights. Notably, her paper on environmental personhood and transitional justice in the Global South was published by the Research Society of International Law (RSIL).
